Customer-requested Tree WorkMany times customers see trees that are touching, sparking or appear to be a problem. When customers see such situations we ask that they call us at 1-800-422-6195 to report the problem. When reporting the situation we ask that customers be as accurate as possible and indicate whether the situation is suspected of causing an outage. The reported information is forwarded to a representative who will investigate and determine what action is needed. Many times the customer is not at home when the investigation is made so the NIPSCO representative will leave a "Customer Response: Tree Condition Report" form which will explain the results of the investigation. This form, along with our two tree brochures, will be left in a clear plastic bag which hangs on the door knob.
