MERRILLVILLE, Ind. - Northern Indiana Public Service Company (NIPSCO) today announced it has hired Colleen Reilly as Director of Communications and Public Affairs.
Ms. Reilly will be responsible for all aspects of NIPSCO’s outreach into the community, both through the media and through public affairs, and will report to NIPSCO President Mark Maassel. “Colleen’s depth of experience, extensive knowledge of communications and previous experience with NIPSCO make her a valuable addition to our leadership team,” said NIPSCO President Mark Maassel. “We are fortunate to be joined by such a talented professional as we continue to ensure the safe delivery of reliable electricity and natural gas to our customers, everyday.”
Reilly previously served as Director of Communications and Public Affairs for the Orange County, Fla., clerk’s office. As a key member of the senior administrative team, Reilly was responsible for all communications, media relations, special events, community activities and conference planning.
Reilly, a graduate of Iowa State University, was previously NIPSCO’s communications manager until she left in 1996 to become a Public Relations Division Manager for The Orlando Sentinel newspaper in Florida.
