NISOURCE SUBSIDIARY DEVELOPING NEW GAS STORAGE PROJECTS

 

HOUSTON, Texas - NiSource Inc. (NYSE: NI) subsidiary Market Hub Partners (MHP) announced today that it is preparing to meet the increasing demand for high-deliverability gas storage. George Marcus (Marc) Weaver has been named vice president of Business Development at MHP. In his role, Weaver will promote projects to expand MHP's market opportunities for additional gas storage projects from the Gulf Coast to the Northeast. He previously was vice president of Marketing and Midstream Business at Dominion Energy.

"Marc's solid background in the energy sector will add a great deal to the legacy already established at MHP," said MHP President Andy Lang. "Our markets and opportunities continue to grow as the industry changes to keep pace with the increasing demands of our customers. Marc is well suited to lead this important segment of our company. His role also will focus on best utilizing MHP's existing storage locations to support multiple independent power projects."

Prior to his work at Dominion, Weaver worked in jurisdictional businesses of the former Tenneco Gas. Weaver has a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Texas at Austin with a concentration in petroleum land management. He has a master's in business administration from the University of Texas, with an emphasis in Finance and Accounting.

MHP is a wholly owned subsidiary of NiSource Inc.
